Luke Farrell
Managing Director
Luke has over 20 years’ experience in the tree care industry, with extensive expertise across all aspects of tree surgery, having worked at every level within a tree surgery team. He founded the company in 2014 as LF Arb, before rebranding to Premier Tree Care in 2015. Since then, Luke has built the business into a respected name within the utility arboriculture sector, driving high standards and consistent results across every project.
With a genuine passion for arboriculture, Luke provides clear strategic leadership, developing strong teams, promoting a culture of safety and professionalism, and ensuring the company continues to deliver quality work for its clients.
Ross Leeks
Operations Director
Ross has over 25 years of experience in the utility arboriculture industry. He began his career as a groundsman and quickly progressed to second climber, team leader, and manager before stepping into his current leadership role.
With a wealth of hands-on and strategic expertise, Ross specialises in running large-scale contracts, securing new business, accurate pricing, and overseeing personnel. His deep industry knowledge and practical background ensure operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards.

With over 20 years of experience across both domestic and utility sectors, Oliver brings extensive expertise in tree work and planning requirements. He plays a pivotal role in coordinating planned and reactive operations, ensuring projects run efficiently and to the highest standards. Known for his excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach, Oliver builds strong client relationships and delivers work smoothly and professionally. His background in customer care and contract coordination makes him a vital link between clients, surveyors, and operational teams.
Steve Blackmore
Ecologist
Steve has worked in the land-based sector and natural sciences for over 15 years and holds a Master’s degree in Conservation Ecology from Oxford Brookes University. This combination of academic and professional experiences has provided him with a strong foundation of knowledge and practical expertise within this field. Before joining PTC, Steve taught Forestry and Arboriculture at Otley College for some years and has been involved in several large-scale ecological projects, as well as stewarding at Suffolk show each year. He is passionate about promoting sustainability within the arboriculture industry, with a focus on protecting wildlife and enhancing biodiversity alongside development
